The founders' journey began nearly four decades ago, as they studied quantitative analysis to complement their business educations at the US Naval Academy and Virginia Military Institute. During their early discussions, they admired the brilliance of George C. Marshall in managing supply chains during World War II and recognized Abraham Lincoln's stroke of genius in nationalizing the country's railroads during wartime. Years of collaboration across various professional careers culminated in the formation of the Garrison Walker Group almost ten years ago. Drawing from their military leadership, advanced education, executive management experience, and diverse entrepreneurial passions, the company incorporates many of these techniques into its operations.
